On the northern tip of Qatar, one hour from Doha, Zulal is the world's first wellness resort built on the principles of Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine. Zulal Wellness Resort takes its name from the Arabic word for pure natural water, and its philosophy from Ibn Sina's Canon of Medicine, written in 1025. TAIM — Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine — sits at the heart of every programme, brought into the present through evidence-based practices: diet and nutrition, physical movement, herbal medicine, mind-body therapies, and connection to the natural world. The resort divides into two experiences: Zulal Serenity, a contemplative adult sanctuary, and Zulal Discovery, designed for families and multigenerational stays. Across 280,000 square metres, the architecture draws from Qatari heritage — carved screens, generous shade, water as a constant presence. Programmes run from three to fourteen nights, each beginning with a personal health and wellness consultation that shapes everything that follows. The hydrothermal facilities include a hammam, sauna, steam, Arctic cave, and Himalayan salt room. Cuisine is built around the Arabian table — fresh, nutritionally precise, and unexpectedly beautiful.
