Six Senses Con Dao
In the Con Dao archipelago off the southern coast of Vietnam — a cluster of sixteen islands protected within a national and marine park, and one of the last places in Southeast Asia that genuinely feels untouched — Six Senses Con Dao occupies two kilometres of golden sand, with fifty private pool villas built from reclaimed teakwood above the clearest water in Vietnam.
Six Senses Con Dao is an hour's flight from Ho Chi Minh City and several decades away in feeling. The resort was designed to evoke a traditional Vietnamese fishing village — low structures in reclaimed teak, bamboo, and sustainable materials, set directly on Dat Doc Beach within Con Dao National Park. The 2,200-square-metre spa was transformed in 2024 with a new design around nine overwater structures: eight treatment rooms, a yoga pavilion, meditation sala, private steam and sauna, all built above the sea in woven bamboo that mirrors the curves of the surrounding water lilies. Treatments draw on Vietnamese healing traditions alongside the Six Senses signature programmes: the Vietnamese Journey, Hot Bamboo Muscle Melt, Spiced Body Care using turmeric, lemongrass, and basil from the organic garden, and Dien Chan facial reflexology. Conservation is written into the resort's identity: the programme with Con Dao National Park has released over 29,000 endangered sea turtles, and guests are invited to participate in ethical hatchling releases on the beach. Resident green sea turtles nest on the property's beach throughout the year.
