Royal Mansour Marrakech
Behind the walls of Marrakech's medina, the Royal Mansour is fifty-three private riads arranged around gardens, fountains, and a 2,500-square-metre spa whose hammam is among the most celebrated in the world. The wellness here is inseparable from the architecture — both are expressions of the same Moroccan idea of what beauty and restoration look like.
Commissioned by King Mohammed VI and built over four years by the finest artisans in Morocco, the Royal Mansour Marrakech is organised as a private medina within the medina — each of the fifty-three riads a complete residence, with its own entrance, courtyard, and terrace facing the Atlas Mountains or the palace gardens. The spa spans 2,500 square metres across three floors and is entered through a citrus garden. At its centre is the hammam, a marble-lined ritual that draws directly from the traditions of Moroccan bathhouse culture: kessa exfoliation, black soap, ghassoul clay from the Atlas, rose water from Kalaat M'Gouna, argan from the south. Four tailored wellness programmes — detox, recharge, weight management, and disconnection — run from three to fourteen days, each supported by visiting practitioners spanning Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, naturopathy, and osteopathy. Culinary direction is by three-Michelin-star chef Yannick Alléno. The city is outside the walls; inside, there is only this.
