Founded in 2012 by Jan Gerber and his family, Paracelsus Recovery pioneered the one-client-at-a-time residential model and the 360-degree approach that combines medical excellence, biochemical restoration, and intensive psychotherapy. Every client at Paracelsus Recovery has a team of more than fifteen specialists dedicated exclusively to their care — psychiatrists, medical doctors, functional medicine experts, clinical coordinators, and a client relations team. The Medical Advisory Board is led by Nobel Prize Laureate Professor Thomas Südhof. Treatment covers addiction across the full substance and behavioural spectrum, mental health conditions from depression and anxiety to bipolar disorder and trauma, eating disorders, chronic conditions including long COVID, and standalone longevity programmes built on functional medicine principles. Clients stay in private penthouse residences overlooking Lake Zurich, each staffed 24/7 with a private chef, housekeeping and concierge. Standard residential programmes run four to eight weeks. The seven-day longevity programme is an all-inclusive health intelligence audit. A three-day health check-up provides a compressed version for those short on time. Signature specialised tracks include Sudden Wealth Syndrome, Elite Athlete Support, Menopause, and Narcissistic Abuse Treatment — areas where conventional clinics rarely operate.
